Welcome to the team at Balerno Dance Academy! Our passionate and experienced teachers are dedicated to inspiring confidence, creativity and a love of dance in every student. With a wide range of professional performance and teaching experience, our team is committed to creating a fun, supportive and high-quality environment where every dancer can grow, learn and shine.
Principal
Rachael always had a passion for dancing and after finishing school she went on to train professionally at Dance For All Theatre School.
After graduating Rachael travelled the world performing for many years, some career highlights include dancing in shows and parades for Disneyland Paris, dance captain for Louis hotels, dancer for TUI Magic Life and many more.
Rachael now wants to pass on her experience and love of dance to the next generation. Rachael is fully qualified and registered with the ISTD, and also a certified acro teacher with Acrobatic Arts.
Miss Rachael
Principal
Rachael began dancing at age 3 and trained at Dance For All Theatre School, where she gained an HND in Professional Stage Dance alongside teaching qualifications in modern and tap. She is currently furthering her training with the ISTD and is also Acrobatic Arts qualified.
Her career highlights include performing in Bollywood films and music videos, working as a singer/dancer for TUI Magic Life, dancing for Disneyland Paris, and being an entertainment host for Disney Cruise Line.
Rachael is excited to be teaching again and bringing some Disney magic to Balerno!
Miss Bell
Dance teacher
Miss Grace started dancing at the age of 2 and quickly fell in love with all things dance. One of her favourite memories is making her debut in the King’s Theatre Pantomime at age 9!
She continued her full time training at The Scottish Institute and has a degree in dance for commercial performance. During her time there she also studied towards her DDE tap teaching qualification with the ISTD and is working towards her modern qualification too! She also holds her acrotrix teaching qualification.
